Design
The Pretty Love Rattler Wand caught my eye because (a) I’d never heard of this brand and (b) it boasted intense power. It’s easy for sex toy companies to say their toys are powerful, but the reality is often a disappointment. But I’m ever the optimist, and I set out to review this wand.
The Pretty Love Rattler Wand is a standard medium-sized wand. The head is firm and rounded, there’s a slightly bendy neck, and then a firm handle. The handle is curved (which, I’ll admit, makes it more comfortable to grip).
It features 5 intensity levels, 7 patterns, a USB rechargeable battery, and a splashproof body.
The Pretty Love Rattler Wand is compact enough to be tucked discreetly in a drawer. It’s just under 10″ in length, and the head is just under 2″ in width. A full-size wand, by comparison, is typically over 13″ in length and has a head width of closer to 2.5″.
It comes in several colours: mine is the Blue option. I quite like this tone — it’s not a neon bright blue, nor a sombre dark blue, but an elegant ocean shade. It also comes in other colour options: Black, White, and Purple.
How to Use the Pretty Love Rattler Wand
- The Pretty Love Rattler Wand is controlled by 3 buttons on the handle: (+), power, and (–).
- To turn it on, hold the power button down for a few seconds.
- Center the head over your clitoris. (While designed for clitoral use, it could also be used externally elsewhere on the body, such as on the shaft of a penis).
- To increase strength and cycle through the 5 intensities, tap the (+) button.
- To decrease strength, tap the (–) button.
- Tap the power button to cycle through the 7 patterns.
- To turn it off, press and hold the power button again.
Packaging
The Pretty Love Rattler Wand comes packaged simply in a white and blue box; the wand is pictured clearly on the front.
When you slide up the lid, you find the wand nestled in a plastic pillow. You also receive the USB charging cable and a sheet of instructions. No storage pouch is included.
Material and Care
The Pretty Love Rattler Wand is made from silicone (the head and contact areas of the handle) and plastic (the rest of the handle). Silicone is a fantastic material for a sex toy because it’s easy to clean, hygienic, and hypoallergenic.
This wand’s head is splashproof for cleaning; do NOT submerge it in water. To clean, I carefully rinse the head in warm, soapy water before and after each use, taking care to not get any on the neck.
If you’d like to add lubricant (which I always recommend), try a good quality, water-based lube like my favourite basic Sliquid H2O.
This wand comes with a small initial charge. To charge, insert the needle end of the USB charging cord into the little hole at the base of the handle. A full charge takes about 90 minutes.

My Experience with the Pretty Love Rattler Wand
At this point, I have reviewed over a hundred clitoral wand massagers. This background knowledge gives me a fairly decent idea of what a strong wand feels like.
And oh boy, the Pretty Love Rattler Wand is STRONG. Its name “Rattler” is true; this vibrator wants to rattle out of my hands as soon as I turn it on. The vibrations are among some of the strongest I’ve ever felt in a wand, and that’s saying something considering it’s so compact and cordless.
The vibrations themselves are certainly rattly and have a buzzy texture. They’re buzzier than, say, the Magic Wand, and so will be best suited to people who prefer a less rumblier texture. And, while the handle does a decent job at preventing vibrations up the handle, my hand does still pick up enough buzz to feel uncomfortable after a while. People with carpal tunnel (like me) or arthritis might struggle.
I’m someone who loves firm pressure, and I appreciate how firm the silicone head is.
The Pretty Love Rattler Wand is also a noisy machine — not surprising given the power. If you have flatmates, you’ll want to wait until they’re out of the apartment before pulling this toy out.
