Design
The Magic Wand Original has been reincarnated as the Magic Wand Waterproof: a waterproof, rechargeable, bodysafe version of one of the most iconic sex toys of all time.
Design-wise, the Magic Wand Rechargeable has stuck to its familiar look. Its body and head are white, and only the neck, buttons, and plug cap are its iconic blue. The neck is slightly bendy. The head’s silicone is slightly squishy. It is a clean, sleek look, one that could pass as a mere back massager if needed.
The Magic Wand Waterproof boasts:
- IPX7-rated waterproofing, making it submersible *NEW
- Rechargeable with a long play time (up to 2.5 hours)
- Bodysafe silicone massage head
- 4 vibration intensities

How to Use the Magic Wand Waterproof
- Turn the Magic Wand Waterproof on by pressing the power button.
- Press it against you. While this is intended for clitoral use, there’s nothing preventing you from using it against the shaft of a penis. Stick to external use, though.
- Tap the middle button to cycle through the 4 strengths.
- Tap the third button to cycle through the 4 patterns.
- To turn it off, press the power button again.
Packaging
The Magic Wand Waterproof comes packaged tidily in a white and blue box. It looks a bit medical/clinical, but I suppose that makes it more discreet. When you open the box, you pull out a cardboard pillow where the Magic Wand is nestled in plastic. Overall, you receive the Magic Wand Waterproof, the instructions manual, and a wall plug.
Material and Care
The Magic Wand Waterproof is made from silicone (the head) and plastic (the body). Silicone is a fantastic material for a sex toy because it’s easy to clean, hygienic, and hypoallergenic.
This wand is waterproof (IPX7)! That means you can submerge it in your bathtub… and it makes cleaning a breeze. To clean, I simply rinse it in warm, soapy water before and after each use.
If you’d like to add lubricant (which I always recommend), try a good quality, water-based lube like my favourite basic Sliquid H2O.
To charge, remove the blue cover at the base of the handle. Insert the included plug and then plug it into your wall outlet. A full charge takes about 4 hours, and gives you up to 2.5 hours of playtime.

My Experience with the Magic Wand Waterproof
It has been nearly 11 years since I first reviewed the Magic Wand Original. Can you believe it? ELEVEN YEARS. Back then, the Magic Wand Original was corded and had a plastic head — not exactly luxury. But its sheer power still made it a winner.
But a combination of sheer power PLUS cordless PLUS waterproof PLUS silicone? Count me in. The Magic Wand Waterproof puts everything I need into one club-sized package.
The Magic Wand Waterproof‘s power is as intense as ever. The first level is powerful, and the fourth level is just bonkers. If you are into forced orgasms, or merely don’t want to work very hard for an orgasm, this is a good option. Its vibrations are relentlessly good. During my first test, I came in under a minute.
And despite its power, the vibrations are contained to the heck and neck. They don’t travel down to the handle, which means this wand should be comfortable for people with joint issues in their hands.
With great power, comes great noise. This is the one downside to the Magic Wand Waterproof — it is noisy (imagine the sound of a moderately quiet blender). If you have roommates/flatmates in your house, they will hear this. This means you’ll definitely want to wait until you’re alone in the house before trying it out.
As for the waterproofing — it works! For the first time, I was able to bring my Magic Wand into my bubble bath and enjoy. This is such a welcome improvement, one that was overdue. Thank you, Vibratex!
I also love how this head provides such firm stimulation. The neck is a bit bendy and the silicone head is slightly squishy, but not so much that I can’t press the head hard against me. For those of you who love firm, broad stimulation, this is a winner.
