Design
The Your New Favorite Wand Massager is an eye-catching new product from Orion. I’ve never tried any Orion products before, but they’re a German company and I’ve never been disappointed by German engineering when it comes to pleasure products. I was keen to get my hands on their new wand massager. Because… just look at it! Such a cute aesthetic. Out of all the many wand massagers I’ve owned, I don’t think any have looked quite like this one.
The Orion Your New Favorite Wand Massager has a LARGE head. It’s over 2½ inches wide and over 2½ inches tall, making its head considerably larger and rounder than the Magic Wand‘s. It’s like a big ball. The silicone head is firm with only the slightest amount of squish. Fans of broad-style stimulation will be happy.
But despite the large head, this has a short, stubby body. The neck and handle combined are only about 4½ inches long; the handle is long enough to be a comfortable grip, but not so long that it gets in the way during sex.
Between the head and the handle, there’s a flexible neck. It’s decorated with shiny gold plastic trimming; the neck itself is not very flexible (which is my preference). The less flexible, the harder you can press it against yourself, so I appreciate that they didn’t add too much flexibility.
The Orion Your New Favorite Wand Massager comes in one popping colour: a gorgeous yellow. The yellow was tricky to capture on camera — it is a bit more gold-tone (less neon) than shown in these pictures. Yellow is a hard colour for sex toys to pull off, but I like this shade; it feels sophisticated and original.
How to Use the Orion Favorite Wand Massager
- The Orion Your New Favorite Wand Massager has three buttons: (+), (O) and (–).
- Press and hold the central (O) button to turn the wand on.
- Tap the (O) to cycle through the 5 patterns.
- Tap the (+) and (–) buttons to increase and decrease strength. There are 3 different strengths. This will alter the strength of any pattern (or steady state) you’re on.
- Apply it to your body. Though designed for clitoral use, you could certainly use this on other body parts (ie, nipples, the shaft of a penis). However, do not try inserting this anally as it doesn’t have a flared base.
- Once you’re done, press and hold the (O) button again.
Packaging
The Orion Your New Favorite Wand Massager comes in black and yellow packaging. The wand is pictured on the front. While it’s not discreet or luxurious, it’s perfectly adequate for my needs.
Inside the box, you receive the wand, a sheet of instructions, and the charger.
If you’d like a dedicated storage pouch, you’ll need to purchase one separately.
Material and Care
The Orion Your New Favorite Wand Massager is made from ABS plastic (the handle) and silicone (the head). These are fantastic materials for a sex toy because they’re easy to clean, hygienic, and hypoallergenic.
The Orion Your New Favorite Wand Massager is NOT waterproof. It is only water-resistant. To clean, I very carefully wash the head area before and after each use, not letting water get into the neck or battery area.
If you’d like to add lubricant (which I always recommend), try a good quality, water-based lube like my favourite basic Sliquid H2O.
To charge, attach the magnetic charging cable to the base. Connect that cord to your computer or a USB wall adapter. You’ll know it’s charging when you see the central (O) button flashing with a green light.
My Experience with the Orion Your New Favorite Wand Massager
I’m no stranger to wand massagers. Wands (and bullet vibes) are essentially my jam – I’ve owned dozens of wands; worshipped some, enjoyed many, and been disappointed by countless.
Petite / small wand sex toys can be a risky buy; a wand that tries to shrink into a tiny package might be more convenient but often loses out on power.
To my surprise, the Orion Your New Favorite Wand Massager is probably one of the strongest petite wands I’ve ever tried, rivalling even some full-size wands.
The vibrations are deep and have BIG power. The power is evenly dispersed along the entire rounded head, so I’m not limited to which section of the head I’m using. And the motor is so powerful that the vibrations travel deep and far; when I focus this on my clitoris, the vibrations pulse through my entire vulva and beyond (I can even feel it in my thighs).
The quality of the vibrations are moderately rumbly. To my hands, they feel super rumbly, but I have noticed that my clitoris starts to (temporarily) desensitize when I use this toy for 10+ minutes, which tells me that there’s still a significant underlying buzz to the quality of these vibrations. Still, like I learned with the Magic Wand, some buzz is pleasurable when there’s a lot of power behind it, and I find that the case here. The Orion Your New Favorite Wand Massager powers me through multiple orgasms, and I can’t complain.
Orion Your New Favorite Wand Massager Review – Overall Thoughts
The Orion Your New Favorite Wand Massager is an adorable — yet powerful — petite wand vibrator. I love that it provides a full-size broad head in a small package — it’s the best of both worlds. The vibrations have an underlying buzz quality but there’s so much power to them that I personally have really enjoyed the orgasms it gives me, and I have turned to this one again and again in the last months since I’ve owned it.
