Design
It’s not every day I come across a type of sex toy I’ve never had before. But the CalExotics Lust Dual Rider is just that — a vibrator specifically designed for humping and grinding.
It has two humps that rise up from the surface, each with its own independent vibrating motor.
It works like this: you place the Dual Rider on a flat surface (like your bed or a chair or a pillow) and you hop on top. If you settle yourself in the middle between them, one hump will grind against your vulva and clitoris (or, if you have a penis: perineum and the underside of your balls) and the other hump will vibrate against your butt. But you’re not supposed to just sit still: you’re meant grind and slide along, enjoying the textures and vibrations.
The whole toy is contoured with gentle lines running up and down. The vibrating humps are fairly firm (with only a little bit of squish) to provide a firm humping surface.
The CalExotics Lust Dual Rider is also packed with luxury features. It’s waterproof, so you can even take it into the shower with you. It’s rechargeable and even comes with a rechargeable remote control. It’s made of silky smooth silicone, and it comes with a 1-year warranty against defects.
The CalExotics Lust Dual Rider Humping Vibrator comes in one colour: this plum purple. It’s a pleasant colour though I do wish it came in more options!
Accessibility
This section is to help folks determine if they might have any issues using/accessing this toy.
- Size: This toy is 24cm long (total) and 11.5cm wide at the widest part. The tall hump is 4.5cm tall. The lower hump is 3cm tall. The dip in the middle is about 4.5cm long.
- Weight: My scale weighed this at 318 grams.
- Buttons (Massager): The power button on the underside of the massager is round, 11mm wide, and inset. The two round buttons on the top are 11mm wide and 3mm tall. All buttons take little pressure to press and make a quiet ‘click’ sound.
- Buttons (Remote Control): There are two buttons on the remote control: an X and an O that are overlapping. Both are about 15mm long and 1mm tall. They take very little pressure to click.
- Vibration transfer: N/A — you do not hold this toy with your hands, so it should not affect users with joint issues.
- Price: This toy is $124.99 USD, which sounds fairly pricey. However, it’s quite hard to find a vibrating humping toy and this is inexpensive for this category. How to Use the CalExotics Lust Dual Rider Humping Vibrator
The CalExotics Lust Dual Rider Humping Vibrator can be controlled via buttons on the base or the remote control.
Buttons:
- There are 3 buttons: 1 power button on the underside, and 2 identical round buttons on top.
- It comes travel locked. Press and hold the power button on the underside for 3 seconds to turn it on.
- Press Motor 1 Button (on the topside, closest to the edge) to turn on the first motor (taller hump). Keep tapping the button to cycle through the 3 steady states and 9 patterns.
- Press Motor 2 Button (on the topside, closest to the hump) to turn on the second motor (lower hump). Keep tapping the button to cycle through the 3 steady states and 9 patterns.
- To turn off just one motor, press and hold the corresponding Motor Button for 3 seconds.
- To turn off both motors, press and hold the power button on the underside for 3 seconds.
Via Remote Control:
- Though you can use the remote control to control functions, you still need to press and hold the physical button on the underside of the toy for 3 seconds to power it up.
- Press the O button on the remote to turn on Motor 1 (taller hump).
- Press the X button on the remote control to turn on Motor 2 (lower hump).
- Tap each button again to cycle through the 3 steady states and 9 patterns.
- Press and hold each button to turn off that particular motor.
- To turn off the whole thing, press and hold the power button on the underside of the massager.
Packaging
The CalExotics Lust Dual Rider Humping Vibrator is packaged in a white and purple box. The toy is pictured on the front along with a model demonstrating its use. I do have to say — I’m not a huge fan of a thin, white, blond model being splayed across all parts of the packaging. It feels old-fashioned, to say the least. If you’re going to put bodies on your packaging, include several and be diverse!
All in all, you receive the Lust Dual Rider, the remote control, a USB charging cable, an instruction booklet, and an additional small booklet of instructions.
No storage pouch is included. If you’d like one (which I recommend, because you don’t want to lose the remote or the specific charging cord), I recommend grabbing something like the Blush Antibacterial Toy Bag.
Material and Care
The CalExotics Lust Dual Rider Humping Vibrator is coated in silky, bodysfe silicone. Silicone is fantastic because it’s nonporous, nontoxic, and easy to clean.
This rider is waterproof. To clean, I rinse it in warm, soapy water before and after each use.
(Note: I can’t find any reference to if the remote control itself is waterproof, so to be safe I wipe that down rather than rinse with water.)
If you’d like to use lubricant with this toy, choose a good quality water-based lube like my favourite basic, paraben-free Sliquid H2O. Whatever you do, don’t use silicone-based lubricants as that will damage the silicone finish of this toy.
To recharge the rider massager and the remote control, insert the two needle-ends of the USB charging cable into the silver holes (on the underside of the massager and the bottom tip of the remote control). Insert that cord into your computer or a USB wall adapter. Two hours of charging will get you 60-90 minutes of playtime (depending on the strength used).
My Experience with the CalExotics Lust Dual Rider Humping Vibrator
I’ve had SO much fun with the CalExotics Lust Dual Rider Humping Vibrator!
There’s something incredibly sensuous about grinding the Lust Dual Rider. It feels almost exhibitionist, even though no one can see me. The two humps are at a good height — though I could just sit in the middle and enjoy the dual motors, grinding and rocking this thing is the way to go — the whole vulva gets a good dose of pleasure and I can pause over the tall hump so that my entrance is teased.
This toy benefits from a lot of lubricant –the more the better. It’s bound to get slippery and drippy though — and a bit messy. If you can budget for it, I recommend something like the Liberator Travel Throw. Put it underneath the Lust Dual Rider so you protect your bed and furniture. Plus, the travel throw has a velvety texture that grips very well to the Lust Rider’s silicone surface, so it sticks well.
Noise-wise, the Lust Dual Rider is fairly quiet, which is great. However, to get that quiet sound, CalExotics hasn’t provided the strongest of motors. I don’t think power queens would be able to orgasm from the vibrations alone, not if they’re sitting still on top of this. But it’s not designed that way — stimulation from manual grinding will likely go a long way.
My clitoris needs moderate-to-strong vibrations to orgasm, and I get very close with the Lust Dual Rider. But I’ve found I more use this to warm myself up, rather than orgasm — it gets me in the mood quickly before I turn to stronger toys (or my partner). If you are a power queen, you may need a stronger vibrator on hand to help you finish the job when you get close.

The CalExotics Lust Dual Rider Humping Vibrator is a fun ride. The two humps are expertly designed to feel great while rocking and gliding along. While the vibrating motors aren’t earth-shatteringly strong, I’ve still been turning to this toy again and again for the sheer, sensuous novelty of it. It feels great against the vulva and certainly ramps up the heat in my bedroom.
