Design
The We-Vibe Wand 2 is the much-anticipated successor to the original We-Vibe Wand.
This brand typically focuses on C-style vibrators (wearable during partnered PIV sex) and clitoral vibrators, but I was blown away in 2020 with their first wand. I was sad when it was discontinued, but I was thrilled to see a new generation this year!
The We-Vibe Wand 2 is a wand-style vibrator designed for clitoral stimulation. At about 10.5″ long, it’s moderately sized; perhaps a bit shorter than most full-size wands (though not quite small enough to be a petite wand).
- The head is oblong with one carefully placed gentle ridge wrapping around it; this gives you better pinpoint sensations in an otherwise broad-style stimulation sex toy.
- The neck is semi-flexible. Flexible necks help dampen the vibrations running down the handle. It’s adorned with a shiny decorative band.
- The handle is slightly curved for a more ergonomic grip. The handle also contains all 5 control buttons.
The We-Vibe Wand 2 Features:
- Lots of vibration levels — You have 10 increasingly strong steady vibration speeds, plus 9 patterns. You can also access endless patterns in the We-Vibe App.
- Smart Silence mode — The We-Vibe Wand 2 has sensors in the head and the handle. Even if it’s switched on, it’ll only vibrate when both the head and handle are being touched. If either (or both) the handle or head aren’t being touched, it’ll automatically turn off the vibration. This is handy if you need to quickly make your sex toy go quiet (ie, with flatmates passing your bedroom door, etc). It’s also nice during partnered sex — when you have to put it down, it’s not still buzzing next to you. (If you don’t want this feature, you can just turn it off by holding the (~) button).
- Cordless — Zero cords during play.
- Control with We-Connect App — If you want your partner to easily control the wand (whether 1 ft or in a different country from you), this toy works with the We-Vibe App.
- Waterproof and rechargeable — Lovely! Waterproof wands are rare.
- Travel lock — This is an upgrade from its predecessor; the We-Vibe Wand now has a travel lock. This makes sure it doesn’t accidentally turn on inside your bag while travelling.
How to Use the We-Vibe Wand 2
- To turn the We-Vibe Wand 2 on, tap the (+) button. It’ll power on at the lowest setting.
- Apply the head of the wand against your body. Though designed for clitoral stimulation, you could certainly also use this elsewhere externally (nipples or the shaft of a penis, for example).
- Tap the (+) and (–) buttons to cycle through the vibration intensities/strengths.
- Tap the < and > buttons to cycle through the 10 vibration patterns.
- Hit the (~) button to toggle Smart Silence on or off.
- To turn it off, hold the (–) button.
You can also pair the We-Vibe Wand 2 with your smartphone using the We-Vibe App. This lets you or your partner control it, whether they’re in the same room as you or across the world.
The We-Vibe Wand 2 also has a travel lock feature (so that it doesn’t accidentally turn on in your bag while travelling). Hold the (+) and (–) buttons at the same time for a few seconds. Do the same to unlock it.
Packaging
The We-Vibe Wand 2 is packaged neatly in a purple box. When you lift open the lid, you find the wand nestled in a white pillow.
All in all, you receive the We-Vibe Wand 2, the USB charging cable, quick start instructions, and safety information.
Material and Care
The We-Vibe Wand 2 is made from silicone (the head and most of the body) with ABS plastic (the shiny strip around the neck). Silicone is a fantastic material for a sex toy because it’s easy to clean, hygienic, and hypoallergenic.
The We-Vibe Wand 2 is fully waterproof (IPX7)! That means you can take it into your bathtub or hot tub… It’s still quite rare to find full-size wand vibrators that are submersible, so I was thrilled about this.
To clean, I rinse my We-Vibe Wand 2 in warm, soapy water before and after each use.
If you’d like to add lubricant (which I always recommend), try a good quality, water-based lube like my favourite basic Sliquid H2O.
To charge, attach the magnetic end of the USB charging cord against the two shiny small plates at the base of the handle. The power button will flash when it’s charging and grow steady when it’s fully charged. A full charge can take upwards of 2.5 hours, and give you about 2 hours of playtime.

My Experience with the We-Vibe Wand 2
The We-Vibe Wand 2 is easily the best cordless wand on the market. I was that impressed.
First, it’s absurdly powerful and toe-curlingly rumbly. It’s stronger and rumblier than any other cordless wand I’ve tested in recent memory. This is the kind of quality from We-Vibe I expect and love. Wowza. I’m able to orgasm embarrassingly easily from these vibrations — that rumble is just *chef’s kiss*,
Is it the strongest wand vibe I’ve ever tried? Probably not — no cordless wand can really compete with corded wands (ie, the Doxy Die Cast) because they’re relying on a small internal battery instead of a wall outlet. But honestly, this comes very close to being as powerful as the stronger corded options out there, plus allll the benefits make this an easy choice. It’s waterproof and you can take it camping, and still get SO much power and rumble. Plus, it is so much quieter than corded wands.
The funny shape of the We-Vibe Wand 2‘s head was obviously carefully thought out. Wand heads are usually oval-ish without any ridges, but We-Vibe added a gentle ridge. This gives pinpoint stimulation lovers (like me) the chance to add focused stimulation, which still allows for plenty of broad-style stimulation by using the flatter sections. It looks wonky, but it works.
Do I have any complaints? Just one, and it’s perhaps nitpicky, but I’m really not a fan of the colour. The We-Vibe Wand 2 comes in this dark eggplant purple. It’s perhaps the most cliche sex toy colour ever, and it’s soooo uninspiring. Give me a breezy aqua or a demure sage green! Give me blush pink or an alluring burgandy! Or even a cool-toned gray or deep blue. But please, stop with this shade of purple…
We-Vibe Wand 2 Review – Overall Thoughts
The We-Vibe Wand 2 is an amazing sex toy. It’s absurdly strong and rumbly and it was SO easy to orgasm with. It’s also waterproof, rechargeable, and decently quiet. I wish they offered it in other colour options, but I’ll admit that’s a small price to pay for such a winner.
