Design
The Swirlii is a new wearable sex toy created by Tracy’s Dog. It’s designed for dual stimulation: there is a broad rotating arm for G-spot simulation and a thinner, flexible arm for clitoral stimulation. The largest prong functions as the handle.
The 3-arm design looks quite unlike anything I’ve reviewed before. It doesn’t even immediately look like a sex toy (unless you’re well-versed in vibrators). It’s just kind of a funky object that’s small enough to be tucked away in a drawer or your purse.
There are two main functions: rotation and vibration. The broad tongue-like arm is the rating one; it moves in slow circles. You can see a quick video of the movement in the My Experience section below. The vibrations come from the smallest little arm.
The Tracy’s Dog Swirlii is rechargeable (and gives you up to 1 hour of playtime on a charge!). It’s coated in silky matte silicone and can be controlled in two ways: with the button on the body or with the included remote control. The remote control allows you to control the two functions (vibration + rotation) independently and it gives you the option of handing the remote over to a partner for partnered play.
How to Use the Tracy’s Dog Swirlii
The Tracy’s Dog Swirlii can be controlled by a button on the base or via remote control.
Via button:
- Press and hold the power button for a few seconds. It will turn on in standby mode.
- Tap the power button to cycle through a variety of vibration patterns.
- Press and hold the button again for 3 seconds to turn it off.
Via remote:
- Press and hold the power button on the Swirlii’s base to turn it on.
- Tap the pattern button on the remote control to cycle through 10 vibration patterns. Long press to turn off vibrations.
- Tap the other button to cycle through 3 swirling speeds. Long press to turn off rotation.
- Turn off the whole device by holding the power button on the Swirlii again.
Packaging
The Tracy’s Dog Swirlii is packaged simply in a black box. “Tracy’s Dog” is listed on the front. When you remove the lid, you receive the Swirlii, a USB charging cord, two packets of lubricants, some decals, an instructions manual and safety instructions. You also receive the remote control (with the button battery already inside). You also receive a small fabric drawstring pouch.
Material and Care
The Tracy’s Dog Swirlii is coated with silicone. This is a great material for a sex toy because it’s easy to clean, hygienic, and hypoallergenic.
The website says this is “IPX7 waterproof”, and IPX7 typically means that you can submerge it. However, the safety instructions clearly state “Do not immerse the product in water” and label it as “IPX6” so, to be safe, I’m simply considering this splashproof.
To clean, disconnect from the charger. I rinse in warm, soapy water before and after each use, and air dry it. Tracy’s Dog also carries a sex toy cleaner if you’d like one, though basic soap works fine for me.
If you’d like to add lubricant (which I always recommend), you could try a water-based lube like this one. Always avoid silicone-based lubricants with silicone sex toys, as they could damage the finish of any silicone toy.
To charge, attach the magnetic end of the charging cord against the two little metal pins near the base of your toy. Plug the cord into your computer or a USB wall adapter. A light will flash while charging and grow steady once done. A full charge takes 2 hours and lasts about 1 hour.
My Experience with the Tracy’s Dog Swirlii
The Tracy’s Dog Swirlii is ambitious. It tries to give you mechanical G-spot pleasure, clitoral vibration, and all inside a body small enough to be wearable inside your underwear.
As much as I wanted to like the Swirlii, it just wasn’t the sex toy for me.
First, the size. The Swirlii isn’t a huge sex toy. It isn’t, however, small enough to be wearable (in my opinion). The handle portion juts out at an inflexible angle and I haven’t been able to find a way to casually or comfortably wear this in my underwear. If you are specifically trying to find a panty vibe, then you might want to look at the Moxie instead.
How about vibration strength? In my opinion, the vibrations are moderately weak. They err on the buzzy side (rather than rumbly). They are certainly nowhere strong enough for me to orgasm with, even on sensitive days. What’s more, the vibrations travel so far up the handle that the handle sometimes feels like it’s vibrating as much as the clitoral arm. I had to actually double-check that I was using this toy correctly because my hand vibrates so much with it that it starts to feel numb.
So what about the swirling rotating function? See a video of the movement below:
The Tracy’s Dog Swirlii‘s rotating function is probably the best thing about this toy. I love a rotating sensation, especially when coupled with good clitoral stimulation. However, I had limited success with it here. This toy technically has three “Spinflow” frequencies; each step up is supposed to increase the speed of the rotation. Honestly, the speed differences are negligible to me. The slowest speed feels the same to me as the top speed. What’s worse, however, is that when I’m using the Swirlii, if I clench at all the rotation slows and instead the rest of the body starts to rotate (basically, the opposite of what I need to have happen).
Tracy’s Dog Swirlii Review – Overall Thoughts
I appreciate that the Swirlii is a lower-cost option ($49). Unfortunately, the Tracy’s Dog Swirlii was a flop for me personally. I found it too weak for a clitoral or G-spot vibe and too bulky for a wearable vibe. If you want a panty vibe, look to the Moxie instead. And for good mechanical G-spot stimulation, consider the Vive Riko.)
If you still want this, you can pick up your own Tracy’s Dog Swirlii here! Why do I like Tracy’s Dog? They have free standard shipping on $60+ orders on all their products to the USA (though also ship to Canada!). They also ship discreetly.
