Design
The Valm Realistic Dildo is a new custom dildo from VALM, a US-based company.
My colour choice aside, this silicone dildo is fairly realistic. It has:
- A long shaft that is veined
- A deep coronal ridge
- A detailed frenulum
- A narrow tapered head with a urethral dent
- Testicles that are round and uniform and even have that scrotal line going in between them (a detail I don’t often see).
- Realistic striations, folds, and wrinkles along the whole dildo to add another layer of realism.
- A suction cup base.
VALM also allows you to customize your dildo in a multitude of ways.
Size: Pictured in my review is the 6-inch dildo. However, you can also select from 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch (!) options.
Colour: VALM offers standard colours (ie, tan, brown, black, and bright neon options). They are also in the process of offering custom colour fades (such as the stunning one I have).
Density options: The Valm Realistic Dildo comes in single-density, dual-density, and triple-density options. Single density is one uniform layer of silicone. Dual density is a soft layer overtop a firm inner core. And triple density is a soft outer layer, a medium gel-like layer in the middle, and a firm inner core.
Prices start from $49 USD (for the smallest, single-core option) and range all the way to $259 USD (for the massive 12-inch, triple-core option).
How to Use the Valm Realistic Dildo
- Apply water-based lubricant to the shaft and head. Even if you naturally produce lubricant, silicone tends to use up a lot, so having some extra on hand is always a good idea to keep things gliding.
- This can be safely used vaginally or anally.
- If you’d like to use this with a strap-on harness, I recommend something with a 2″ O-ring, which should be able to slip over the flared base and rest between the base and the balls.
- You’ll want a smooth surface if you’d like to use the suction cup feature. The suction cup is quite solid when given a smooth, shiny surface to adhere to.
Packaging
The Valm Realistic Dildo comes packaged in clear plastic packaging, with a VALM logo sticker on the side. Simple but functional.
Material and Care
The Valm Realistic Dildo is made from body-safe platinum cure silicone. They also go a step further and don’t use any chemical mold release agents in their production process when removing each dildo from its mold, which makes these products even more nontoxic.
This makes the VALM dildos bodysafe (nonporous, nontoxic, free of phthalates, etc). This particular silicone finish is very sticky to the touch.
To clean, I wash mine in warm, soapy water before and after each use. I air dry it completely before putting it in my storage chest.
If you’d like to add some lubricant (highly recommended), opt for a good quality water-based option. VALM sells some here.
My Experience with the Valm Realistic Dildo
The Valm Realistic Dildo is what I consider to be: fun!
Even just handling this toy is fun. The dual-density squish is just glorious. I can squash the head, squeeze the shaft so that the “skin” gathers, and I can pinch the testicles (I sound like a bit of a sadist when I write that, but I promise I’m not). It’s just so satisfying to handle this toy in my hands: it’s like a stress ball!
When in actual use, the Valm Realistic Dildo feels great. The shaft is narrow and bendy. The dual-density gives the head a squish you just don’t get with single-density dildos, and it squeezes in smoothly and comfortably. The 6-inch option is not super girthy (about 1.5 inch diameter) which is perfect for me.
Because the shaft is narrow and bendy, I can’t easily get specific G-spot stimulation. I need to get a bit creative with angles which is thankfully pretty easy. And when I want a hands-free experience, it’s so easy to pop this on the side of my dresser or my shower and go at it.
If you are a size queen, I recommend upgrading to the 10-inch option; it has a 2-inch diameter which would be quite filling if you need that stretch (and also more likely to hit the G-spot).
Are there cheaper realistic dildos available by different brands? Yes, but not ones that give you as much freedom in your options.
Valm Realistic Dildo Review – Overall Thoughts
Honestly, I’ve no complaints. It feels great. I love that you can customize this dildo. I love that it’s designed and made in the USA. I love the bodysafe silicone and that strong suction cup. VALM has paid a lot of attention to this design; it is meticulously detailed.
