Design
The Tracey Cox Supersex Clitoral Vibrator is a palm-sized clitoral vibrator that immediately surprised me in two ways.
First, I actually like this shade of purple. Shocker! I’m always waging a war against pink and purple sex toys (they’re EVERYWHERE in this industry). But, amazingly, this shade of purple gets a pass from me. It’s a cool, pastel shade of lavender, and I’m digging it. It reminds me of blueberry ice cream.
Second, there’s so much squish! This clitoral vibrator is part of a larger line of new Tracey Cox toys, all with a “soft feel” feature. There are six in total — this clitoral vibe, a G-spot vibe, a wand (which I’ve reviewed here), a rabbit, a bullet vibe, and a love-ring.
The soft-feel silicone is glorious. This toy’s squishy part is the bulbous/thick half of the tip (the part you press against your body). It’s a marshmallowy, deliciously gooey silicone. I’ve seen this in vibrators before, but not recently. It’s trickier to manufacture, so it’s regrettably rare. I really appreciate seeing it in this series of toys.
Design-wise, the Tracey Cox Supersex Powerful Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator sticks to clean lines. It has a classic “lay-on” or “pebble” shape. When you hold it, your forefinger naturally curves around the outside for a solid grip. The stimulation tip on the inside is thick and bulbous, allowing you to target your and reach your clitoris better.
Asides from a band of silver-coloured ABS plastic around the base, it’s free of decoration. Textured designs can be cool to look at, but they’re typically a pain to clean so I’m always happy to see a clean design like this.
The Tracey Cox Supersex Clitoral Vibrator is also waterproof, rechargeable, and bodysafe.
Accessibility
This section is to help folks determine if they might have any issues using/accessing this toy.
- Size: The Tracey Cox Supersex Powerful Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator is a small, hand-sized vibrator. By my measurements, it’s 11.4cm long (total) by 5.4cm wide by 3cm tall (at the thickest tip).
- Weight: It’s a lightweight toy (91 grams).
- Buttons: The 1 control button is located on the body, just above the silver ABS plastic ring. The texture of the button is silky silicone, the same as the rest of the body. It’s hard to see and is very shallow (sitting nearly flush with the surface). You can feel it with your fingers, luckily. It’s easy to press down and makes a solid ‘click’ noise. The button is small (about 8mm wide).
- Handle buzz: Vibrations transfer throughout the body, including to the little handle portion. Your hand will definitely buzz while holding this.
- Other notes: This is a small toy so you’ll need to be able to grasp/maneuver/target a small object. I like that the handle portion is broad and flat, which makes it easier to hold. The body is firm (not flexible) which can make it easier to control. If you have visual difficulties, you may have trouble finding the tiny charging port (it’s hard to feel with your hands — it’s a tiny hole at the base below the silver ABS plastic ring. It has a thin flap cover that you push through with the needle-end of the charging cord).
- Price: At $69 USD, this is in the moderate price range for clitoral vibrators with comparable features.
How to Use
- The Tracey Cox Supersex Clitoral Vibrator is controlled with a single power button on the body (pictured above).
- To turn on the vibe, press the button once. It’ll turn on in standby mode.
- Press the button again to cycle through all the modes. There are 3 steady speeds and 7 patterns.
- Apply the vibrator to your body. This can be used to stimulate areas like the clitoris, vulva, penis/scrotum, and nipples. This should only be used externally.
- To turn the toy off, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds.
- If you’d like to use the travel lock, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. Do the same to unlock it.
Packaging
The Tracey Cox Supersex Clitoral Vibrator comes in a very small, sleek black box. It’s simple and functional.
Inside the box, you receive the vibrator, a USB charging cable, and an instructions booklet. If you’d like a dedicated sex toy pouch, you can browse for some here.
Material and Care
The Tracey Cox Supersex Clitoral Vibrator is coated in silky soft silicone, making it body-safe (nonporous and free of toxins like phthalates). This particular silicone finish is velvety and matte to the touch and doesn’t attract lint/dust.
The Tracey Cox Supersex Clitoral Vibrator is totally waterproof and submersible. For everyday cleaning, I simply wash in warm, soapy water before and after use. If you’d like to be really thorough about it, you can always pick up a dedicated sex toy cleaner as well.
To charge, insert the needle-end of the USB charging cord (included) into the faint hole (marked with DC) in your vibe. Plug the other end into your computer or a USB wall adaptor.
If you’d like to add a lubricant (which I always recommend), choose a good-quality water-based lubricant like my long-time favourite, Sliquid H2O.
My Experience with the Tracey Cox Supersex Clitoral Vibrator
There’s so much to love about the Tracey Cox Supersex Powerful Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator.
First, there are the luxury features — it’s waterproof, rechargeable, and body-safe — everything you’d expect from something in this price range.
Luxury doesn’t necessarily always mean “strong,” though, so I remained skeptical.
While many ‘luxury’ vibrators can come with dismally weak motors, the Tracey Cox Supersex Clitoral Vibrator is actually strong. The vibrations are deep and rumbly, and definitely have enough oomph to personally get me to orgasm. For me, orgasms are quick and effortless with this toy.
The squishy marshmallow-y stimulation tip feels lovely too. When you push it against your clitoris, you first get a broad pillowy layer before digging further down into the firm vibrating core. This encourages you to use firm pressure (which is exactly what my own body needs), and the results have been really satisfying for me.
While the body of this clitoral vibe is rather wide, the stimulation tip sort of narrows into a triangular shape. This is an intermediate step between a pin-point vibrator and broad-style vibrator. It’s obviously not as pin-pointed as this series’ bullet vibe, nor as broad as the wand version, but gives the best of both worlds.
When I want broader-style stimulation, I use the flat top portion of the head. The vibrations aren’t as strong there, but they’re still good enough. The rest of the time, I go for the actual stimulation tip, which is a softly pointed tip.
This is thankfully also a quiet vibrator. I’m not at all concerned about it being heard through walls or a closed door. Because it’s waterproof, I can even take this into my relaxing bubble baths, which is always a joy.
Is there anything I don’t like about the Tracey Cox Supersex Clitoral Vibrator? The price is pretty steep ($69 USD) — there are cheaper budget alternatives out there (though none that I know of with a squishy tip). Vibrations also transfer to the handle portion because the whole body is so small. So that’ll bug you if you have long play sessions. But, overall, I’m impressed with this toy.
